Fishing off the Docks (June 14, 5:40am) - Thelonius - 06-14-2017
As dawn settles over the harbour Thelonius lounges on a deck chair stripped down to the waist, his brown hide covered in a patchwork pattern of barely healed scars. In one hand he holds a fishing rod, and with the other he lifts a bottle of powerful-smelling brown liquor to his lips periodically. A large grin is plastered across his face, and he appears to enjoying himself immensely as his fishing lure bobs softly in the tide.
Several empty deck chairs sit next to him.

Sevatar approaches, gambeson untied and hanging loose in the heat. His dragon mark is pale but present on his cheek. He takes a seat next to Thelonius and wipes his brow with the back of his arm. "Thelonius. Wizwik. Sorry this wasn't the visit I had in mind, Thelonius. Fate often decides for you what you'll get to do. I fear that was the case these last few days."

*Dexter approaches with a few books tucked under one arm, and his staff in the other.*
"Thelonius, glad to see you made yourself at home", Dexter says with a grin on his face. "And Sev, glad to see you haven't jumped in the sea yet." Dexter just nods at Wizwik before pulling up a seat.

Thelonius smiles and waves at Wizwik. "It has indeed been a while, how do you far Wizwik? Still not craving grave dirt I hope?"
Thelonius turns to Sevatar. "Ah Sevatar, my old commander used to say that plans never survive first contact with the enemy. True, we didn't get a chance to do everything we set out to do here. But you know what?, it was worth it and then some. I got some solid advice from yourself, got to see a Knight be blessed with her blood and be granted an immortal Draconian body, and I even had a chance to wield the Serpent's Tail in defense of her domain, despite the unfortunate circumstances surrounding that. And now I get a chance to rest my old bones, enjoy the sea air, and hopefully catch something for dinner this evening."
Thelonius waves as Dexter takes his seat. "And good evening to you as well, Dexter."

-Wizwik smiles- "I'm thankfully free of that horrible Curse thanks to Alec~. Went away and visited my parents and got a lot done with them~. How have things been with you? Sadly I forget most of what we talked about...it really has been a long while."

Sevatar nods. "There was another Fisherman once, Thelonius. He was more like you. A master of the battle. In constant conflict. I am not a soul of conflict. I don't think I can be the one to lead this crusade. I think the sword was ready to enter your hands because, one day, you may be. Arcadeus could have raised the banner to war. He was willing to start it on his own. But he died because he fought the war on his own. Do you understand my meaning, knight to be?"

Thelonius nods at Wizwik. "Ah, that's the Pax fellow I met yes? I've heard a lot of non-so-great things about the Morbidish, but he seems a good sort. As for myself, I've been well, good even. This trip to your home has been a great experience, a set of memories I will cherish for the rest of my days. Tell me Wizwik, have the Fae troubled you folk as of late? If so, I sold a bunch of iron weaponry to the roving merchant, Chad is his name I think."
Thelonius chuckles softly. "I do my Knight, I do. I am not an army onto myself, no matter how mighty I might feel at times. I have those whom I have brought to our Lady, and other friends beside I can count upon should the need arise. But for now my focus is making sure that this new colony does not meet the fate of all others that have been attempted upon the isle of Zenithstrand."

Sevatar smiles, lightly. "Good. Protect what matters to you." He stands up. "Make sure I'm there to see you off, when you go. Best of luck. Beware of Salamanders." Sevatar walks off.
