*Through the gate steps a Human male, not particularly extravagant in any way. A small satchel on his right side, a brown satin back roped over his back. A regular looking club hangs form his hip. He tastes the sea air, takes a deep breath and walks to the central gathering area of Ralinwood.
He looks around for familiar faces and land marks. Occasionally asking if anyone knows where an aid to the loacal leadership can be found. Maybe a leading body to a local guild of mages, perhaps. Ultimately he will grab a comfortable seat and ask people who wonder by the same questions until he gets a usable answer.*

Ursel passes in the direction of the hellgate before doing a double-take and turning to face Greggor, her eyes widening slightly. "You're that man from Jericho. The one who was with Melody and her friends... what are you doing in Duvain?"

Hello Ursel. I am visiting. Melody does it all the time, why can't I. Sides, too many gods and dragons showing up in jericho. I heard Ralinwood is nice this time of year. So, Vacation? Maybe? And, you know, demons everywhere I hear."

She snorts, crossing her arms. "Your whole life, huh? Funny, the Lady said people only settled on this gods forsaken rock a few years ago." she shakes her head, looking unhappy. "You picked a bad time to come vacationing, though. Considering the last time I talked to you the topic shifted quickly to you and your friends bragging about the mercenaries you sent over here so pardon me for being suspicious."

Ursel nods, her eyes narrowing somewhat. "I see. Well welcome to Duvain then, I hope things remain peaceful during your stay." she turns to leave. "Now if you'll excuse me I have a hell gate to watch."

"So, how does this place work? Government, murder hobos? I showed up once asking about laws and was told there are none. It was my attempt to keep good relations since we have people who come here and go to Jericho all the time. I wanted to make sure that merchants don't get caught in the middle."

She carries on towards the path down to the gate, falling into pace beside Greggor. "I'm not the best person to ask, I only arrived a few months ago and have found myself not getting into any trouble with the law. Lady Aminata is in charge for the time being, I think, I don't pay attention to the government unless I need to. As for merchants... I don't know, ask Rajani. Merchants pertain to her line of work, she'd know best." she shrugs. "And for the record we aren't murder hobos. Not compared to fucking Jericho."

"No kidding. Everything was fine last year. There was a balance. Now, absentee councilors ask for evidence. Like, how does one collect evidence in the middle of a forest? It is so silly. Like these people have no idea what 22nd century law is like. I have charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and murder all pending council approval. This has been waiting for months. Such a pain in the ass.
So you guys have nobility living here? Or is that Lady because This person is female?"

"You seem to be busy. You should add finding out who butchered Enna in the night to your to-do list. I can't imagine how anything gets done in Jericho when a paladin gets jumped while trying to save the town from corruption and specters." she sighs. "And yes, we have nobles, though some are more useful than others. I don't know much about Aminata's family, I avoid asking shit like that, but she's the best damn thing to happen to this town considering her predecessor. Everybody called her Lady even before she took charge, so I assume she's of noble birth."
