Miahla yawned herself from outside the tent, cloak on. "Lark ye shit, get up. I walked half a bell."

About three seconds later, Lark comes barrelling out of the tent, in only a shirt and short trousers. She tackles Miahla's with a hug. "Sorella! Tu m'a manqué si! Comment ca va? T'es bien?"

Miahla, despite her apparent exhaustion, half caught and half stumbled when Lark hugged her. She burst into giggles and hugged her tightly back. "Sorella! I'm bruised everywhere. I missed ye terribly. Why are ye 'ere it be dangerous? "

Lark squeezes Miahla and starts spinning around with her. "It's your birthday! I came t' visit! Anyway, it's dangerous in Crucible for damn sure. Why're ye bruised? What've ye done?"

"I've been trainin', tha's wha'. And yesterday was me birthday Lark... But thank ye." Miahla squeezed her tightly and tried to cover up her trembling. "Are ye stayin' long?"

"Aye, an' I was here three days ago, but you weren't." Lark lets go. "I brought Wren an' Jaquir an' Ka'lin an' Roland an' Svala. I dunno how long they want t' stick round, but I'm thinkin' I'll stay 'til just after my birthday." She frowns. "Ye want to go somewhere quiet an' catch each other up on news?"

Jaquir walks into the area from thr trees holding a small bundle of firewood. When he seea Miahla he immediately drops the wood and runs up to give her a hug. "Miahla! I'm so happy to see you!"
