Citizens of Ralinwood,
The threat of Orcish invasion grows. I have received word from the Duvainian Military Command that a contingent of troops will be sent to protect the settlement and form the majority of our defense against the hordes.
They are expected to arrive by naval convoy on Wednesday.
The troops will be led by Lord Burton Fraley. I’ve known Lord Fraley since my days in the Duvainian Army; he is an effective politician and administrator, and I have no doubt he will organize the troops efficiently and without delays. To command his troops on the frontlines, he has assigned Brigadier Leighton to be his Field Commander. Some of you may have met the Brigadier over the past few days. His ability as a Commander will prove ever useful on the field of battle.
Over the next few days, the military will be invaluable in fortifying the settlement against an Orcish invasion. These brave men and women will be what stands between Ralinwood and imminent doom; I expect everyone to understand and, most importantly, respect the power the military holds. We are at war, and in times of war, we must trust in the good judgement of our nation’s authorities.
