On the Torchlit Pier (TS: Dec. 17th - 11:00pm) - Alaxel Vane - 12-17-2014

“Damn it what a trip.”

A short, cloaked figure stepped off the boat’s gangplank and onto the pier, stretching. Behind her a sailor finished hauling an oilskin sack to the dock, and her silver barely glistened as it slipped discreetly into his palm.

Alaxel Vane breathed the salty night air, chuckling. “I hate the sea so much.”

"You hate the sea for good reasons," Grimnir smirking as he pushed off from the pier and eyed the small woman, "What brings you to the arse end of no where."

Alaxel swerved round in a double take, then laughed brightly. "I'd ask you the same thing, y' big brute! Hail, Grimnir! Long time no see."

"Indeed, it has been quite a long time. You're still knee high I see," He smirked as he pulled the hood on his cloak back. "You look well."

Alaxel chuckled and pulled back her own hood, then bowed extravagantly to the Einhar.

"And you likewise, warrior. Are you still a warrior, by and by?"

"Warrior. Jarl of the small court I have begun building. You are welcome, as my guest and friend."

She had started walking down the pier to look into the shadows, and now turned to face Grimnir. "A lord of your own court! A thousand good lucks, though truly said you need none. Well done, my friend, and you have my thanks."

She turned back to the darkness ahead of the torchlight, where the barest gleam of light hinted at civilization and buildings.

"I've come to Ralinwood briefly to trade, you see. I think I'll stay at an inn for the night, and then see how the trade winds sing tomorrow. If you would seek the assistance of this humble merchant in any way, I will be happy to help." Alaxel Vane inclined her head.

"There is no inn, but the tavern can lend you space I am certain," Grimnir strolled up towards the tavern, "I will escort you there and if I need anything, I shall be certain to ask."

"No inn?" Alaxel echoed, turning thoughtful as she strode behind Grimnir. "And no marketplace either, I assume. Tsk."

The tavern loomed, an old wooden building with well lit rooms. It seemed active at this hour.
