Event Review: Highwinter - Sierra Katrian - 11-30-2014 Lets hear em guys! The good, the bad. What you liked, what you didn't like. If you would like to give us a private review please send it to contact@underworldralinwood.ca RE: Event Review: Highwinter - Zhliepir - 11-30-2014 Inquiring minds need to know! RE: Event Review: Highwinter - Maximus - 11-30-2014 I ate two babies! RE: Event Review: Highwinter - Shoshana - 11-30-2014 I swear to god we stopped you from eating the children. Dammit. I thought the entire event was super fun. The gumdrops on the cookies were a really nice touch, it was super fun realizing we could just pull them off. It was a little unpleasant having to go through people legs to unfreeze them what with all the mud, but those ice puppet and freeze solid mechanics were a really fun addition. I personally adore singing and the caroling ghosts were super fun to get to sing with! it was also nice that their song was a song of heroism so we could fight the weights! And Praise Cassan shirt on the child made me really happy :') I'm really glad that it wasn't too cold, it was just the right temperature for a winter event! The only negative of the event was metal armour sucks and i need a gambasson (however the heck you spell it) because my shoulders are dying :'( Thanks for a super awesome event! RE: Event Review: Highwinter - Maximus - 11-30-2014 What God? And I enjoyed eating those two cookie children, one even screamed as I ate its cookie flesh...my Goddess, I am a monster! RE: Event Review: Highwinter - MM/NPL Dustin - 12-01-2014 Pros: +Final mod with the treent was great! I loved tieing the chains of tinsle into a loop and throwing it over the ent's head. + "Holy shit, you're good with that stiletto!" + Open cabins was nice + Lit tavern! Makes way more sense for that area to be not dark as balls. + Song of heroism making a fight against undead much more fun than I was thinking. + Ice puppet was very well implemented. + Chasing gingerbread Matt down the hill was fun. + Evil snowman mod was well-done. Liked fighting the other PC's without it being assault XD Cons: (A lot of which are prefixed wih "I know it's High Winter but...) - Not a fan of the Holiday themed tags. It's going to be hard to sell a holiday wreath. - Enemy selection was rather limited and became repetitive after a while. Liked the evil elves and yeti but there were way too many snowbolds. Maybe ice elementals or white-pelted animals (wolves would have been cool, also having bears out at one point was nice)? - Mucky ground, but that really couldn't be helped. Overall: A fun time was had, was glad to see everyone again, but looking foreword to normal weekend events next season. RE: Event Review: Highwinter - Promises - 12-01-2014 Pros: + I liked the theme, and the 'tongue-in-cheek' danger was a nice break. + Lit Tavern at night. + Pouting Snowbolds. + Probably causing a few earbleeds with my singing. + 10 Normal Present. + The tent is totally there. Cons: - None, really. As always, looking forward to the next one. RE: Event Review: Highwinter - Ludvic - 12-02-2014 Costuming as always is always A+. Every role was easy to tell what it was without asking what are you. Leon's always hilarious The Cassan play was pretty great OOG. I would have loved to have seen Lady Urquart's reaction. Game was meh for me up till dinner but the second half made up for it. Many of the people I had hoped to RP with didn't come. Day events are tough when people don't have a reason to split up and go to their camps. Turns into everyone killing 3 people over and over. I think hanging some candy canes in the forest and having people treasure hunt them would have split the group up a bit more. I enjoyed the tin soldier, the snowman mod, Carol and Carl, Treant. I'm glad you guys came up with variations on songs and I was happy to get to take one of them home. I'm glad there was a consequence to killing the snowbalds needlessly. RE: Event Review: Highwinter - Gale - 12-02-2014 +Going to make actual cookies as part of the ritual +Spiking a few of said cookies +Bribing a snowbald and finding out about the treant +Meeting everyone as Gale +Giving Maximus a cookie baby, looked like he was going to tear up -Repetitive enemies -Everyone clumped together in town center for the event "I keep telling people I'm a genius!" Lots of fun and I'm looking forward to more mayhem RE: Event Review: Highwinter - Sierra Katrian - 12-02-2014 (12-02-2014, 09:24 AM)Ludvic Wrote: Day events are tough when people don't have a reason to split up and go to their camps. We really appreciate any suggestions for ways that we can improve. We also noticed these issues, but only having 8 of us on staff was really hard. We just couldn't feasibly find ways to split the town up and do 2 mods at once. I hope next time we can get more NPCs, and not have half of our Shaper team missing. Thanks again. |
