A Matter of Unity - Rachel NPC - 10-05-2014
All camps,
Too long have we been divided, too long have we looked to Jericho. The time is ours to lose or gain. We are currently working to secure the farmers, but this is a venture conducted out of urgent need. We need to start thinking long term, planning what this town of ours will become in the future. I have seen some strides with the establishment of the Mage's Guild and the Hospital, but I have not seen any progress as far as the town in general is concerned. I propose a meeting to discuss long overdue plans to establish a town council; one that would oversee projects and long term plans for Ralinwood in general. We can continue to act as individual camps, or we can band together to create something even stronger.
The choice is ultimately yours to make.
I will be holding a meeting in town proper this Monday at five bells. I hope to see those there who truly wish to see our great town flourish.

Meaning no disrespect, but I don't think it's our place to create a town council. Lords Vintner and Bantry and Lady Urquart are doing a wonderful job governing the settlement. Who are we to try to meddle with that leadership?

Dear Iris,
I believe that the author did not intend to disregard our wondrous nobles. I believe a Town Council will deepen our relationship between the citizens and our Lady and Lords. This can allow us to speak with our Lady and Lords to tell them of the dangers we learn of by people conspiring against them. We can also tell them of different ways we can serve them and find out what they need of us. A Town Council can be use to talk with the nobles about ways to improve our Town.
