How do we know the mist marauder didn't kill the thief and keep the catalyst as its own?
Seems something a marauding type would do.

Nennia that exact scenario was brought up in the discussions, but as that is a hypothetical and no way to make an item’s history known exists (at least not that I know of? Though if one does, I would gladly welcome it being brought to my attention), I had to return the item to Pawp!.
Compensation for the item was also offered to give the item to Jannika, but as Pawp! already had a buyer lined up, the decision was made that she would keep it so she could sell to the individual she promised to sell to.
