Carrion chuckles. "I mean no disrespect, sir knight, but that's a rather extreme view. I will concede to your dragon being very powerful, and the keeper of her lands, but no creature is without fault, and no creature contains absolute power."

Sevatar rolls his shoulders. He seems to stare off at something that isn't there. "Sure is. I agree that nothing's without fault. Even agree that nothing has absolute power. But that means if she is very powerful, she has the ability to influence what I just said. And if nothing has absolute power, nothing can absolutely prevent her from doing that. She, and I, are protectors. We are guardians. And that is why I'm here, and it's why I'm thankful I'm being brought the means to continue my watch. Thank you again for the food."

Sevatar watches her for a moment. "I meant what I'd just said about the land and the challenges it poses. But, of course she has the ability to control my mind, if she felt the need to. And others, too. The Firstborn are very powerful beings, and not to be underestimated."

He grimaces. "I'm struggling to see the appeal. I don't think I'd want something that lives so apart from us imposing her will to be acted out by our fellows."
