It MAY have been a one off thing. Maybe your dispell did something. Also your dispell is not arcane, it comes from science. HOW it comes from science is the arcane portion.
Regardless, to have proper research you need to make sure it was not a one time deal."

-Slaps his cheek- "holy shit I'm getting out thought by a Wood Fae, I am off my game today...He's right about the trying again bit...and trust me its hard a shit to explain the HOW part to people who arnt Gnomes so I sum it up as being a dispel magic as powerful as Arcane, but saying that every time gets annoying so I summed it up as Arcane Dispel Magic"
