My pros and cons list for this event are long winded so I am going to try and make them brief.
Pros - It's been said a bunch but that damn wheel! Game starts, I see a glowing bottle, I touch said bottle and head to NPC camp. Now I gotta spin the damned wheel 5 times. Great, goodbye new character...first spin, Life Berry! Two Life Berries in two events! Then a bunch of crap ending with going beserk and attacking people.
- Savar! Getting to RP animosity towards an entire race was a hoot. Ang, you are always my favorite to verbally fight with.
- Tokens! Was originally told they led to a "secret buyers room for rare and magic oddities" which would have been amazing but the other thing was cool too, and finally playing a character that doesn't automatically say no was fun.
- The riddles, sorry NPC, I don't remember your name but you were awesome. The potion bottles and the word riddles were great. I always seem to miss the thinking part of events while dealing with the fighting so this was a nice change. Sorry to the guy who worked so hard to figure it out only to have Jannika take the win.
- The Kraken, I love this idea. The pool noodles sucked for whippy hard to dodge movements but that was the best part. Tentacles are whippy hard to dodge appendages, deal with it lol. Being pulled in and hit HARD was painful. Thanks to Levi for that Bolster lmao
The Cons
- I'll leave most of these for private emails but I would like to say one.
When people are roleplaying, sometimes they do things that might go against your wishes, this is no reason to physically hit them. I am a big boy, I can take it, but if that person had hit someone, on "reflex" or not, like my mom, who is a non-combat player so she doesn't get hit even softly, I would be a lot angrier then I am. I know tempers flair and emotions are high but if you cannot control yourself enough that you resort to punching me, maybe LARP isn't for you.
