Sevatar looks at the food for a few moments before he lets out a soft sigh. "I suppose not. I imagine she's getting quite fed up with my immobility by now."
He looks over when he notices Riven and gives a small nod, before looking back to Carrion. "I've only met you once. Why're you doing this?"

"I fear for this town, if simple kindness is questioned." Carrion sighs and shrugs. "I knew Lilith only for a very brief time, and still I feel a sense of loss. I can't even imagine what you're suffering. I don't have the words to sooth that, or the power to bring her back, or even the skill to be a worthwhile guard alongside you. Bread and cheese, however, I do have. And now it's yours."

Riven finishes up his work and walks over to Carrion, scrawling on a scrap of paper as he walks. He nods back to Sevatar as he approaches and hands the paper to Carrion.

Carrion accepts the offered piece of paper and reads what was written. He chuckles and shakes his head. "Alright. I'll have you elaborate later."

Ursel rises unsteadily to her feet before heading over to where Riven is setting up, moving to help him get his tent together and his belongings inside. "Sevatar, have you slept at all while I was gone?"

Sevatar stares at Carrion for another few seconds. "I see. I appreciate that, thank you. May the lands of Physignathus offer one such as you as much comfort as they can."
He pauses before looking over at Ursel. "I look that terrible, I take it?"

Riven heads back to his tent and gives Ursel a smile before getting back to work.

Carrion smiles and waves a hand. "Any time, sir knight. Though you'll forgive me if I wonder at the comforts a land such as this one can provide."

"S'better than Jericho," Ursel mumbles, glancing over her shoulder at Sevatar. "Another lesson learned, Knight. Are you keeping track of them or should I make a list?"

Sevatar nods, and lets out another sigh. "Physignathus allows what we can handle, and not more. We are faced with challenges to overcome that strengthen us. But we haven't been wiped out. Even when we've faced against truly awful things. Even when we have to go to hell itself, we persevere. There's something to that. And a reminder that we can never let our vigil end."
He looks back to Ursel and offers the ghost of a smile. "That sounds like a good thing for you to keep track of."
