I have received your letter, regarding the safe keeping of what I can only assume is your ward. She attests that she cannot read, which makes her errand somewhat puzzling. I was inclined to believe the letter genuine, as you're one of the few that still insists on calling me "Sir".

I would have sent this message to you privately, but I am growing cheaper in my old age. I also don't know where you live. Or if you still live at all.

I've been wandering around the area for the past little while. I may come into town proper on this Saturday. With any small luck, it won't be raining. I believe the town has renamed the large building "Sanctuary". I'll probably be there for shelter, naps, and prattling on about Roland.

Thank you for the clarification. I'm puzzled as why one of your citizens would arrive in the thinning of the veil in Jericho with a letter from him then. A problem for another day.
