The settlement of Ralinwood, located in the uncharted northern edge of Duvain, is a developing community. Docks and a few buildings for storage have been built by the waters edge.

Three farms have been clear cut and a small harvest has been prepared before winter. Each of the farms has an experienced farmer at the head, and employs 30-50 laborers at any time. The farms are dotted by storehouses and rudimentary cabins for the laborers. The closest farm to town is headed by Carlton McCale. The farms have little livestock still, just a few goats or hens each. Along the edge of the farms are shacks for the hunters. The shacks are full of pelts, leather, and meats for sale.

Beyond the farms is the frontier. Adventurers have set up tents organised into small camps. A lone tavern stands in the frontier. These eager heroes serve as a buffer between the monsters that regularly come out of the uncharted wilderness, and the settlers who mostly are unskilled in combat. The adventurers and the settlers are reliant on each other. The adventurers provide protection for the settlers, and the settlers provide food and support for the adventures.

At the border between the frontier and the farms is the nobles pavilion. The three merchant lords and their entourages live here in the finest buildings. The squires that serve the lords hurriedly walk about the pavilion and town dressed in the colors of who they serve.

Throughout the area, occasional glimpses are visible of long-forgotten civilization: a few feet of a stone foundation or the mossed-over grave stone of an ancient loved one. In a clearing near town centre, a ring of ancient looking stones stands freshly cleared of forest detritus.

Food Supply:
The settlers are currently stockpiling their supplies for the winter. Some concern is made for the food lasting all the way through. For the moment no one is going hungry.

Panic Level:
Boarded windows and a few empty bunks remain as evidence of an attack from a couple months ago. Many settlers are refusing to go out past dusk, and some cabins are being fortified by the denizens.

Nature:
The small harvest proved that the soil is fertile. The hunters talk about seemingly limitless game to hunt, and the fishermen are filling their nets when they go out. There are rumors of untouched ore deposits near the surface in the wilderness. The bountiful natural resources are benefiting Ralinwood.
